Better Nouveau. Digital materiality. A new design front is ahead of us: a field where designers and software meet, where thanks to a linguistic code many different and new ways of making concrete design are possible. 

Nowadays, all the algorithmic sequences used for programming are part of everyone’s everyday: a language that, translated into a digital machine, shapes and makes our dreams come true, tells us Giorgio Olivero, one of the founders of TO.DO, the studio that gave birth to the label Better Nouveau.

“Our goal is to get together projects that exclusively come from designers that have the ability to program autonomously their own software” states Giorgio.

A software, is a conversation, an object. A sequence that is not only immediate, but also sustainable and quick thanks to the machines used for digital fabrication, that are able to read bits and transform them into real matter.
